Tech. Sgt Pete Nikolakakos, assistant NCOIC Metals Technology, from the 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, RAF Lakenheath, United Kingdom, uses a Tig welder to weld a heat exchanger used for an air conditioner unit that aids in cooling down the computers and avionics equipment on F-15 Aircraft. The 48th Equipment Maintenance Squadron provides intermediate and organizational level maintenance for one F-15C/D and two F-15E fighter squadrons supporting 48th Fighter Wing, USAFE, USEUCOM and NATO commitments.
